“Halloween Costumes, my very best one”

I have dressed up for Halloween for many, many years. I believe the best costume I ever came up with was the downed World War 1, pilot. I found most of my costume at the Army & Navy store. I first bought a helmet, with goggles, a white silk scarf, leather army jacket and a parachute. I went to Marshall Fields and bought jodhpurs and high boots. Next I borrowed a broken propeller from an old piper that was made of wood. Since I hate masks, I bought false hair to make a real beard. I was close to sixty at that time and I am a female. I was so excited about this costume could hardly wait to put on my Halloween Costume and see how it looked. Finally the great night came, and my friends and I were going to hit a few places that had a contest. I put on my jodhpurs, my shirt, boots, helmet, goggles, and jacket, I thru my silk scarf around my neck and with my beard and goggles, I knew no one would recognize me. When we entered the places, I was carrying the propeller and the parachute was dragging behind me. To be honest I won three prizes that night and I was happy. I loved that costume and I love Halloween.
